He is an electrifying Latin guitarist heard on radio stations around the world including the popular Chicago station WNUA, 87.7 FM. His critically acclaimed holiday CD “We Three Strings” was top 10 on radio stations in the US and sold tens of thousands of copies world wide. Most recently he was chosen to be featured at the American Smooth Jazz Awards in 2010.

His annual musical extravaganza helps provide over 1000 coats for kids and families in Northwest Indiana each year. Bryan’s instrumental music is herald worldwide and although he lives locally his music resonates internationally with over 40,000 albums sold globally.
The Novemeber 27 concert benefits “Coats For Kids and Families” a local charity started by members of the Merrillville Methodist Church in Valparaiso, IN and will be at the Memorial Opera House. The charity gave away over 1,100 coats this year to needy area residents thanks in part to the artist and his yearly upbeat concert series “Bryan Lubeck’s Groovin’ Christmas Show”.
"Music is in its way a gift to the soul, but I wanted to do something more tangible to help people – especially kids – in these tough economic times,” says Bryan when asked about his motivation. He’ll bring his touring band and some of the top musicians in the country to the exquisitely quaint setting of the Opera House for a world class show of traditional holiday music set to the Latin and contemporary urban grooves he is known for...
This year will be no different with Gospel sensation G. Thomas and special guest sax player Nick Bisesi (known for his work with Ray Charles and Ramsey Lewis) as well as Felton Offard (guitarist for Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple).
Lubeck’s philosophy on charity concerts is that you should want to go whether or not because the entertainment is so good, the icing on the cake is that the proceeds go to help others. “Doing this the weekend of Thanksgiving allows families to be together to give thanks on Thursday and then attend the concert on Saturday to help other families find a reason to also give thanks during tough times”, says Bryan. And without key sponsors like Strongbow, Z107 and Audi/VW Team Imports it would not happen. They help to cover the costs so that nearly all the proceeds go to Coats For Kids and Families.
