Smooth Jazz at South Shore will take place on August 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Washington Park in Michigan City, Ind. This Midwest music festival was created to expose the residents of Michigan City, La Porte County and the surrounding areas to culturally diverse and internationally acclaimed artists. This year's line-up includes: Oil Silk, Tom Braxton, Jeff Lorber, Urban Jazz Coalition and U-NAM.
This concert has become a national attraction, allowing Smooth Jazz at South Shore to give 100% of the profits back to the community. These funds benefits the Sand Castle Shelter for Children and Families, Stepping Stone Shelter for Abused Women and the American Red Cross La Porte County Chapter.
